Everything starts somewhere
In March 2023, I embarked on a journey to explore the potential of AI in audio production. I envisioned a family of AI robots as my protagonists, a choice inspired by the then-prevalent robotic portrayal of AI in popular media. As I developed their stories, I found myself naturally gravitating towards the ethical dilemmas surrounding artificial intelligence.
My AI robot family became the perfect vehicle to place AI trends into future scenarios. Through their adventures, I could take concepts that might seem absurd or far-fetched and bring them to life in entertaining and thought-provoking ways.
The project evolved into an exploration of AI's potential impact on society, all wrapped in the accessible format of family comedy. It's an exciting and illuminating process, blending creativity, technology, and ethical inquiry in unexpected ways.

As of October 2024 I stopped producing new episodes of Made in AI. This decision was driven by policy changes on a key platform I used for character voices. I want to thank everyone for listening, it's been a blast making 41 episodes of Made in AI and I've learned so much on the journey.

You're probably here because you have listened to Made in AI and are curious to know who made it. My name is David Sloly; by day I'm a partner at HarveyDavid, a marketing agency based in the UK and Made in AI is my side project.
Make some noise
My career has been far from linear or 'job for life'. I have been driven by curiosity, creativity, a passion for new technologies and the power of narrative. I have worked at the BBC, KissFM MTV and I've DJ'd internationally and have a Sony Gold Award, MOBO, and some others for my radio productions.
Make some money
In the early 2000s, I went to work in advertising and marketing, helping companies like Google and Microsoft explain complex solutions to customers. I won a bunch of awards along the way, and ten years ago, I cofounded HarveyDavid, a B2B marketing agency that offers a range of services (including AI).

After studying AI at Said Business School at The University of Oxford, I created 'Made in AI', the world's first sitcom created using AI. My interest in storytelling and my passion for the digital future have allowed me to share my insights and ideas on platforms like SXSW and TEDx.
I live in Bristol with my wife and son, finding inspiration in the vibrant city and its creative energy.
